The most immediate, and sensical, forms of regulation surrounding stablecoins and centralized exchanges should be a near-term event and will likely fall under existing laws and frameworks.  However, the current laws do not fit all digital assets or decentralized finance applications. New frameworks that encompass these areas will require new laws, which will take years. As such, we don’t believe the regulatory environment will have a large impact on digital asset prices in 2022, or even in 2023.

 

Our focus is on gaming, NFTs, Web 3.0, DeFi, Sports entertainment, consumer application rewards and structured products. All of these sectors have revenues and cash flows that accrue back to tokenholders, with flexible tokenomics that will allow the best alignment of interests amongst all tokenholders.

 

We expect municipalities, universities and small corporations to start issuing tokens. Munis will replace general obligation bonds and revenue bonds with new infrastructure and reward tokens. Universities will issue tuition tokens, and small corporations will issue pass-thru tokens that combine loyalty rewards with quasi-equity.

 

Financial investments have traditionally fallen into 5 asset classes: cash, equities, fixed income, real estate, and commodities. We’re not sure that digital assets are going to be the 6th asset class or instead if it's going to be the technology that underpins all asset classes.
